Interpol issues Red Notice for Serba Dinamik CEO Datuk Karim Abdullah
Anwar says the Securities Commission Malaysia obtained an arrest warrant after continued investigations.
Interpol has issued a Red Notice to help locate and arrest Serba Dinamik Holdings Bhd group managing director and CEO Datuk Mohd Abdul Karim Abdullah, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said.
Anwar said the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) obtained an arrest warrant for Karim as investigations into transactions involving him continued. He was also the subject of separate SCIB-related developments that led to charges being brought in early 2026.
Karim is wanted over an alleged offence under Section 369(b)(B) of the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007, involving the submission of a false statement by Sarawak Consolidated Industries Bhd (SCIB) to Bursa Malaysia. The Public Prosecutor had consented to criminal proceedings over the matter.
Anwar said the SC obtained an arrest warrant in March 2026, with Karim described as a former chairman and a non-independent, non-executive director of SCIB.
The SC previously charged Karim in 2021 over an offence involving false information in Serba Dinamik’s financial statements. That case was later resolved through a RM3 million compound after the Public Prosecutor accepted his representation.
Anwar did not say whether Karim is in custody. He said SC investigations into other transactions involving Karim led to charges being brought against him and another individual in early 2026.
He added that Interpol’s Red Notice is intended to help locate and arrest Karim.
