Interpol Tirana has finalised an operation leading to the arrest of a 26-year-old Albanian in Thessaloniki, Greece. The man, identified by the initials R.T., was detained as part of the special operation called “The Wanted”, with police cooperation involving international colleagues. Greek police arrested him in Thessaloniki. Albania’s State Police say Interpol Athens located and arrested the killer after he was convicted in 2021 by the Korça Court for intentional murder committed in collaboration. Interpol Tirana is expected to arrange the man’s extradition to Albania in cooperation with Greek colleagues.
