Eurojust hosts interregional training on joint investigation teams for EU and Latin American prosecutors
The session focused on how prosecutors can work together using Joint Investigation Teams.
Eurojust has organised an interregional training activity on Joint Investigation Teams (JITs) for prosecutors from the EU and Latin American countries.
The training is designed to help prosecutors understand and use JITs, a tool intended to support cooperation across borders in criminal cases. It brings together legal professionals to develop practical knowledge on how joint investigative work can be organised when cases involve multiple jurisdictions.
Joint Investigation Teams are addressed in the training as a framework for coordinating investigations and prosecution activity. The activity aims to strengthen practical collaboration between prosecutors from different regions, supporting more effective cross-border cooperation.
Eurojust, the EU’s agency for criminal justice cooperation, said the interregional format allows participants to exchange approaches and build shared working knowledge around the use of JITs.
The news release also includes a programme element dedicated to training on interregional joint investigation cooperation, linking EU and Latin American prosecutors through shared learning.
