A 39-year-old Israeli man was arrested after allegedly disrupting a flight from Budapest to Thessaloniki by repeatedly ignoring crew instructions, police said. During the flight, the man repeatedly left his seat, opened overhead luggage compartments and failed to fasten his seat belt when told to do so ahead of landing. Authorities also said he used an electronic cigarette, disrupting order and compromising flight safety. The plane landed safely at Thessaloniki’s Makedonia Airport. Officers arrested the man there. He faces charges of endangering the safety of an aircraft, disrupting public order and disobeying the aircraft captain’s instructions. The case is now before the courts, with the defendant held following his arrest.
