Italian police arrest 35-year-old wanted in EU drug trafficking case
Arrest in Teramo after a German European Arrest Warrant, man accused of dealing drugs in 2025.
Polizia di Stato has arrested a 35-year-old man in Teramo, holding him on a European Arrest Warrant issued by German authorities over alleged drug trafficking.
Officers from the Squadra Mobile acted after receiving a tracing request from the Sirene office, a Schengen police information and operations system. The man was found shortly afterwards at a construction site in the province where he was working.
He was taken to the Questura for checks and then transferred to the prison in Teramo, made available to the judicial authority (A.G.).
The arrest was linked to allegations that in the summer of 2025 in Germany he produced, sold and bought controlled substances. Sources at Polizia di Stato, Questure on the web, reported that the arrest followed the European warrant.
The suspect remains in custody in Teramo pending the next steps of the procedure for the German request.
