Justițiarul de Berceni is detained in Ploiești, prosecutors seek 30 days
Vloggerul Alexandru Constandachi faces preventive detention after alleged assault and confinement claims.
Alexandru Constandachi, known online as Justițiarul de Berceni, was detained after hours of hearings at the Ploiești Police. Prosecutors have asked the court to order his preventive arrest for 30 days.
Constandachi was held for 24 hours, following the hearings at the Ploiești police station. A judge at the Judecătoria Ploiești will decide on Tuesday, 20 October, whether to admit the prosecutors’ request.
The case concerns allegations brought by a man who says he was physically assaulted and deprived of liberty, with the circumstances investigated by police. Police issued detention orders for 24 hours for Constandachi and for another suspect, George Daniel Bozieru, and prosecutors later requested preventive arrest for both.
The investigation ties to a complaint and subsequent hearings. On 19 October, Constandachi was taken to Secția 4 of Ploiești for questioning. Before the hearings, he posted a message on TikTok describing a possible detention linked to the complaint about a man he said accused him of assault and confinement.
Constandachi has also been involved in a prior case in which he was accused of blackmail. He was reportedly charged after asking for 5,000 euros so he would not publish compromising images online.
Constandachi and Bozieru remain under the current legal process, with the preventive detention request for 30 days awaiting a decision from Judecătoria Ploiești on 20 October.
