Police detained a man in Kardzhali suspected of a series of thefts targeting coffee vending machines. Officers launched an investigation after a signal about broken coin slots and a bent door on a coffee machine. During organized searches, police found a 22-year-old man. Investigators established his involvement in three thefts and the damage to one coffee vending machine. The man was held for up to 24 hours under the Law on the Ministry of Interior (Law on the MVR). Police work on the cases continues with further investigative steps. Separately, a probe has been opened over the alleged use of a fake document for fraudulently acquiring pension insurance service. A resident submitted the document to the Territorial Unit of the National Social Insurance Institute (NOI) in an application file for retirement benefits. The Economic Crime Counteraction sector and an investigating police officer are continuing the work on the case.
