Knife threat during Vienna film shoot after fight at Parkplatz
Police arrested a 19-year-old and temporarily banned him from carrying weapons.
A fight broke out during film recordings in Vienna, ending with a man returning with a knife and threatening three people at a parking lot.
Police said film production staff invited around 80 to 90 people to act as extras when, during the shoot on 4 November 2026 around 17:30, a verbal dispute escalated between multiple people. The argument moved to the outdoor parking lot, where hand-to-hand violence broke out.
An 18-year-old stepped in to calm the situation. His 16-year-old brother and a friend then tried to help. During the brawl, the 16-year-old was injured after being hit in the face with a fist by an unknown person.
After the situation briefly cooled down, a suspect allegedly returned with a knife. He then threatened the 18-year-old, the 16-year-old brother and his friend with the blade. A witness managed to take the knife away from the man.
Police officers who were already called in arrested a 19-year-old man, listed in the police release as from Syria, on a provisional basis. A temporary weapons ban was issued against him.
