Two men from Kosovo, both residents of Vushtrri, have been arrested at the Morina border crossing as Germany moves to extradite them. Police said the arrests were carried out during an operation codenamed “Wanted”. The men, GM, 22, and FB, 24, were taken into custody after checks linked them to international warrants. The pair were declared internationally wanted by Interpol Wiesbaden after the Erfurt Court sentenced them to 15 years in prison each on June 1, 2026. They were convicted of theft with violence committed in collaboration and damage to property, offences set out in the German Criminal Code. Morina Border Police carried out the arrest following the identification process at the crossing. Interpol Tirana, working with Interpol Wiesbaden, is continuing procedures to finalize the extradition of the two men to Germany.
