Guardia Civil police have detained two men suspected of carrying out violent street robberies in Majadahonda, stealing jewellery by snatching it from elderly women. The alleged attacks took place between June and September. One suspect allegedly waited on a motorcycle while the other used physical violence to seize necklaces and chokers, then the pair fled together on the motorcycle. Investigators traced the robberies after learning of several incidents. The motorcycle used in the attacks was later identified as stolen and was eventually located in Madrid. On 8 October, the Guardia Civil arrested both men for their alleged involvement in three counts of robbery with violence and intimidation, one offence of motor vehicle theft, and another related to road safety. Both suspects were taken before the judicial authority, which ordered immediate provisional prison for them, according to the Guardia Civil.
