Police in Murcia have detained a man suspected of being responsible for the death of a 45-year-old woman after a stabbing in the street. The incident happened on Monday at about 9.34am in Calle Santa Rita, in the La Fama district, after a neighbour alerted emergency services, 1-1-2, following screams from a public argument. Brigada Provincial de Policia Judicial took over the investigation. Officers found and arrested the suspect, who allegedly fled the scene. Emergency teams from the Servicio Murciano de Salud went to the property and confirmed the woman died from a stab wound. Authorities are keeping the investigation ongoing to determine the relationship between the detained man and the victim.
