Carabinieri in Codrongianos arrested a 36-year-old man in flagrant breach after he arranged to sell a stolen accordion online, only to find police at the meeting point. The victim had spotted the instrument in a web advert and notified the authorities after previously reporting the theft from a home in the province of Sassari. Investigators then organized a targeted service at the agreed location and moved in when the handover was due, stopping the seller and recovering the accordion. The instrument was later returned to the legitimate owner. After the arrest, the man was placed under house arrest while awaiting a validation hearing. His responsibility will be assessed in the next stages of the case.
