A 43-year-old man was detained after he entered the Alba Iulia Police headquarters and demanded to be shot, police said. The man came inside with an airsoft gun and a toy airsoft grenade. He allegedly pointed the objects at the on-duty officer before being stopped. Officers in the building immobilized him and put him in restraints. Special Actions Service fighters then joined the response. During a body check, a folding knife was found on the man. Investigators opened a case to determine all the circumstances of the incident. Prosecutors from the Parchetul de pe lângă Judecătoria Alba Iulia ordered the man held for 24 hours. He is being investigated for alleged insult of authority, or ultraj, and for carrying or using dangerous objects without right.
