A man has been extradited back to the UK and charged with murder after a 16-year-old was stabbed in Moston, Manchester, in November 2020. Police said Alexander John Soyoye, known as John, died following the attack in the Moston area. Nico de Carvalho Wilson, 24, has also been charged with manslaughter and violent disorder. Wilson was detained in Portugal in March before being extradited on Tuesday. Wilson appeared at Manchester Magistrates' Court earlier, Greater Manchester Police said. John's family paid tribute after his death, saying he was “remarkable”, full of energy, intelligence and love. Wilson remains charged and due to face court proceedings following his appearance at Manchester Magistrates' Court.
