A man extradited back to the UK has been charged with murder over the stabbing death of 16-year-old John Soyoye in Moston. Nico de Carvalho Wilson, 24, has been charged with murder, manslaughter and violent disorder after being detained in Portugal in March and brought back to the UK on October 13. Wilson appeared at Manchester Magistrates Court on October 14. Soyoye, who was 16, was stabbed to death in Moston on November 5, 2020. Four other men have also been detained, extradited and charged this year in connection with the investigation into his death. Wilson’s next court appearance is expected to be at Manchester Crown Court on October 16.
