A 48-year-old man from Cârligele was detained after he allegedly beat his concubine and repeatedly ignored a protection order meant to keep him away. Police said the incident happened on 18 October, when the man allegedly assaulted the woman he lived with. Despite a provisional protection order being issued for her, he is accused of approaching her again and again. The man was held for 24 hours, starting on 20 October, by officers from Secția 5 Poliție Rurală Cotești. He is being investigated for violence in the family and for violating the measures imposed under the provisional protection order. On 21 October, he is due to be presented to the court, with prosecutors seeking a preventive measure.
