Police in Austria are investigating manipulated Halloween sweets after 21 cases were reported nationwide so far. Four of the cases have already been clarified. The investigation is being handled by the “Treat” task force at Austria’s Federal Criminal Police Office (Bundeskriminalamt), working together with the state criminal police units (Landeskriminalämter). Authorities are continuing their efforts to identify what happened in the remaining cases.
