Mazowieckie police arrested a 19-year-old suspected of fraud after a senior woman lost 45,000 złoty, 2,000 US dollars and gold jewellery. Police said the man acted as an “odbierak”, a person tasked with receiving money during the scam. The suspect was detained in the Mazowieckie voivodeship. After the arrest, the 19-year-old was charged with fraud. If convicted, he faces up to eight years in prison. The suspect was sent to custody for three months while the case is handled by investigators.
