Milano police arrest 44-year-old with 22 cocaine doses outside a bar
Cocaine worth 8.5 grams seized, plus cash found after a home search.
Police in Milano arrested a 44-year-old man suspected of cocaine dealing outside a bar in Baggio.
Officers from the Squad Investigativa of the Lorenteggio police station spotted the man sitting outside a bar on via Gianella around 17:00. He was not consuming anything or interacting with other customers. After a few minutes, he moved a short distance away where he allegedly received a 20 euro banknote from a woman, then handed over a wrapped item.
Police moved in to carry out a control. After officers identified themselves, the 44-year-old allegedly tried to flee and pushed the officers. During the escape, he reportedly dropped an item from his trousers pocket. Officers stopped him soon after and recovered what he had thrown away.
Inside the seized wrap, police found 22 doses of cocaine, with a total weight of 8.5 grams, along with a magnet. Investigators said the setup included a second magnet installed at the bottom of the bar, which would have kept the substance available for individual sales.
A search then continued at the suspect’s home in Trezzano sul Naviglio, supported by a police dog unit from the local police. Officers found 3,900 euro in cash and a precision scale, items taken in connection with the alleged dealing activity.
The man was arrested. The police operation is continuing.
