Montecatini Terme police arrested two suspects caught trying to rob a 72-year-old woman on the street. Carabinieri said the pensioner was targeted while returning home in Via Tripoli, near the barracks, on 22 October. Officers followed the situation and intervened when the pair moved to steal the contents of her bag. The two men, aged 29 and 31, were blocked in flagrante and taken to the Carabinieri offices in Via della Salvia for identification and the required formalities. The prosecutor requested confirmation of the arrest and an obligation for the suspects to report to the judicial police. The carabinieri handed the case for the fast court procedure, with the suspects taken to custody at the provincial command in Pistoia while awaiting the rito direttissimo. The investigation is ongoing, with the arrest under judicial review and the case set for fast court processing.
