A 19-year-old was arrested in Omonia after police found a pistol with a magazine and 10 rounds on him. Officers from DI.AS. made the arrest the night of Wednesday, 14 October, during patrols in the area, following a stop of the young man as he was walking. During the check, they discovered the firearm and ammunition in his possession, along with a small amount of cannabis. A case file was drawn up for alleged violations of laws covering weapons and drugs. The 19-year-old was taken to the Omonia Crimes Unit for further investigation. He was then referred to the competent prosecutor. His case is focused on possession of a gun and ammunition and possession of a small quantity of cannabis.
