A 50-year-old man was detained in Opole after threatening to set fire to a state institution building, police said. The suspect allegedly claimed the authorities actions would destroy his life. Officers found that he arrived at the scene in his car despite being intoxicated. Police checked him and the test showed more than 1.5 promille of alcohol in his body. During the arrest, officers seized a bottle with petrol. While the case is ongoing, the 50-year-old has been placed under police supervision and banned from approaching state institutions. He faces up to 3 years in prison.
