Police have arrested five suspects linked to the organisation and recruitment of serious violence, after action in Spain, Morocco and France, Europol said. The arrests were made in August and September and focused on the suspected leadership behind “violence-as-a-service”, including people accused of ordering attacks, finding perpetrators and coordinating crimes from abroad. Some of those arrested were also listed as fugitives on the EU Most Wanted website. The Operational Taskforce (OTF) GRIMM coordinated the operation. Investigators targeted the upper levels of an alleged group suspected of directing serious violence across borders. The latest results of the OTF GRIMM resulted in the five suspects being apprehended. Their continued involvement is under investigation as the operation progresses. No court outcomes were reported in the material provided.
