Police in Pescara arrested a 30-year-old man after he allegedly stalked his ex girlfriend, triggering a rapid intervention that stopped the harassment. Officers from the Volanti were called to a private home in the Colli area following an emergency call to NUE 112. The man was intercepted and blocked while in his car, just a short distance from the victim’s residence, where he had allegedly been hiding moments earlier and shouting intimidating phrases. He was arrested for stalking, and later taken to the local Casa Circondariale. Hours later, the Volanti intervened again in the north of the city after reports that a stranger was inside an apartment. Officers reached the address in minutes, gained entry, and found a 57-year-old man inside after he had allegedly forced a window. The man was caught with stolen items including electronic devices and a wallet. Officers also found clothing he was wearing that had been taken from the bedrooms. The stolen goods were fully recovered and returned to those entitled to them. The 57-year-old was arrested in flagrante for aggravated burglary in a home and held in police custody at the disposal of the judicial authority.
