Polish police held a three-day meeting in Katowice with partners from across Europe to fight illegal migration and trans-border crime on the so-called Balkan route. In the Katowice Voivodeship Police Headquarters, officers discussed how to prevent illegal migration and tackle cross-border criminality, while also focusing on exchanging experience and improving skills. The conference was followed by joint training between the Police and the Border Guard. During the sessions, participants worked on patrol-and-interception tactics both in open terrain and in cities. Polish police said the event brought together representatives of services from Poland and other European countries.
