A 21-year-old man has been placed in pre-trial detention for two months after attacking police officers, Polish police said. The incident happened just hours after he left a prosecutor’s office, where probation for police supervision had been applied. During a new police intervention, the man allegedly insulted the officers, grabbed them by their uniforms, and kicked one officer in the chest. Officers detained the man and took him to court. Prosecutors asked for temporary detention, and a judge approved the request, ordering two months in custody. Police said the case followed his repeated aggression toward officers after he had initially been released from prosecutor-supervised measures.
