Poland police have detained a man suspected of stealing two gun safes containing firearms and ammunition from a house near Kędzierzyn-Koźle. Officers were called after the burglary, which involved forcing protective measures to remove the two weapon safes. The operation expanded into the Silesian Voivodeship, where an anti-terror police unit was brought in. Police say the owner of the home had a weapons permit and stored a firearm and ammunition inside the safes. Investigators moved to locate what had been taken, and the stolen items were eventually seized. After the arrest, officials checked the suspect’s case record and found he was being sought under 11 different decisions, including three separate notices for wanted status. Investigators are now working to determine whether the break-in was accidental or whether he deliberately targeted the house for its weapons. The man is currently in custody, and the investigation remains ongoing.
