Police in Zakarpattia have detained a 35-year-old man suspected of arranging illegal border crossings for five men. Operatives of the Migration Police unit of the Zakarpattia regional police, together with investigators from the Vinogradiv police and staff from the 27th border detachment, carried out the detention on the night of 15 October. The suspect is a resident of the village of Yanoshy in Berehiv district. Police allege he was involved in facilitating the illegal transportation of the five men across the state border of Ukraine. Investigators say the man was supposed to receive payment after the men crossed the border. He was taken into custody as part of the ongoing investigation. Source: Uzhgorod.net.ua.
