Police in Cartagena have arrested a man and a woman suspected of three robberies with violence and intimidation committed within two consecutive nights. The incidents took place in the early hours in the area of the railway station. Victims were approached in the street and threatened with a knife to steal personal belongings, including cash, bank cards and mobile phones. In one of the robberies, a victim suffered two stab wounds. The injuries were reported as not serious. After officers were notified, the Police National launched investigations to identify and locate the suspects. Police said they were able to identify the two people in less than 48 hours. Officers then set up a device in the same station area where the crimes occurred. During the arrests, a knife was seized from one of the detainees, and police said it is believed to have been used in the robberies and in the stabbing of one victim. The fast operation prevented the suspects from carrying out further offences using the same method in the area.
