Police in Niš arrested a 53-year-old man suspected of producing and selling illegal drugs after a pursuit and vehicle search near the city. Officers stopped the driver after he refused to pull over at a police signal, instead starting to flee. The police quickly caught up with him, then searched his vehicle. During the search, police found four packages of marijuana weighing 4 kilograms and 235 grams. The operation was carried out based on police intelligence about the suspect’s activities and with an order from the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Niš. Officers also carried out the arrest in the Niš area as part of the action. The 53-year-old is suspected of the criminal offence of unauthorized production and placing narcotics on the market. The investigation is ongoing.
