Police in Porto Garibaldi arrested a 29-year-old after finding 13 ready-to-sell doses of cocaine hidden inside a car. Carabinieri stopped the man during checks in the residential areas and road arteries of the coastal centre. Their attention was drawn by the suspicious behaviour of a person near a vehicle on via Giovane Italia, prompting a deeper control. During a search of his person and the vehicle, officers found multiple grams of cocaine, packaged into 13 separate doses for sale at retail. They also seized more than 800 euros in cash, in banknotes of various denominations, which officers said appeared linked to illegal proceeds. Drug and cash were placed under seizure immediately. The man, described as having no fixed abode, was arrested for the alleged offence of possession for the purpose of drug dealing. After paperwork with the judicial authority, he was released while the legal process continues. The case is now in the hands of the judicial process, with the next steps still pending.
