Police in Prokuplje arrested D.S. (43) from the area around the city over a house robbery in June. Officers suspect he entered a home in the vicinity of Prokuplje on 10 June and stole about 18,000 euros. He was held for up to 48 hours and then brought to prosecutors with a criminal complaint. According to the police statement, the alleged theft involved damaging the property, with the suspect cutting a protective mesh on a window before getting inside. Inside, the police say he took the cash. The investigation was carried out through intensive operational work, leading to the arrest. The case is being handled by the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Prokuplje. D.S. remains in police custody through the 48-hour limit, with the case moving to the prosecutor after the criminal complaint is filed.
