Police in Novo Sarajevo arrested a 55-year-old man after they found materials linked to marijuana and speed during a search, authorities said. The arrest took place on 21 October 2026 at 2:15 a.m. in the Aleja Lipa area. Officers from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Canton Sarajevo, Police Administration Novo Sarajevo, detained H. K., born in 1971 in Sarajevo. The man was taken in on suspicion of the criminal offence “Possession and enabling the use of narcotic drugs” under Article 239(3) of the Criminal Code of the Federation of BiH. During the search, police seized a quantity of substances associated with marijuana and speed. The duty prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of Canton Sarajevo was informed of the case. The suspect was handed over to the premises for holding persons deprived of liberty at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Canton Sarajevo.
