Police in Senigallia have arrested a 30-year-old man suspected of selling cocaine after officers watched him hand something to a woman for cash. The incident happened in the first afternoon hours. After the pair walked away, the woman was stopped and checked and admitted she had just bought a 0.5-gram dose of cocaine for 50 euros from a young man she knew. At the same time, another team moved in on the man. Officers found two more cocaine doses on him, packaged in the same way, weighing 0.4 and 0.5 grams, along with 390 euros in cash. One 50-euro bill was described as crumpled and not yet put away with the rest. The suspect was arrested for alleged dealing and possession of narcotics. The Public Prosecutor on duty ordered him placed under home detention while awaiting a direct hearing. Police seized the drugs, the money, and a mobile phone they considered useful for continuing the investigation. After the hearing, the arrest was validated, and he was placed under the pre-trial measure of an obligation to report to the police station in person. The case remains in the preliminary investigation phase, and responsibility will be assessed only during the judgment.
