Police report that a driver was stopped in Runö and taken for further investigation on suspicion of drink-driving. The incident was reported on 20 September at 13.18. According to Swedish Police, the driver’s vehicle was checked by officers in Österåker. The driver was then taken in for additional inquiries related to alleged rattfylleri, which refers to driving under the influence of alcohol. At this stage, the person is only alleged to have committed the offence. Further investigation is ongoing as police work to establish what happened and whether an offence can be proven under the law.
