Police in Soliera arrested a man caught in the act and accused of possessing hashish for sale. Carabinieri from the Stazione di Soliera moved during the night of 29 October, following a control at about 5.00 in a street in the town centre. During the stop, the suspect showed signs of agitation and handed over a package containing hashish. A search at his home led to the seizure of another hashish block weighing 50 grams. Officers also found and confiscated precision scales, plus material used to cut and package doses. During a hearing with the rito direttissimo, a judge at the Tribunal of Modena validated the arrest and ordered the accused to comply with the measure of daily presentation to the police judicial authority. The man remains under that precautionary measure following the convalidation of the arrest.
