Police in Staryokostiantyniv detained a 32-year-old repeat offender suspected of selling cannabis hand to hand. The man, who previously had convictions for theft and drug-related offences, was held after a new deal. Officers documented several cases of illegal drug sales, carried out during personal meetings with clients. Police detained him immediately after the latest dose was sold under Article 208 of Ukraine’s Criminal Procedure Code. Investigators announced suspicion under parts 1 and 2 of Article 307 of Ukraine’s Criminal Code, covering illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment, or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, or their analogues. The issue of choosing a pre-trial measure in the form of custody is currently being considered. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
