A parked car caught fire in Frankfurt-Sachsenhausen, and police have arrested a 38-year-old suspect. The alarm came on Thursday at around 04:45 on Darmstädter Landstraße, when a road user reported the blaze, police said. Firefighters put out the burning vehicle quickly. During an immediate manhunt near the scene, a patrol team stopped a suspect in the area. Officers found filled containers of petrol and multiple lighters on the man. He has no registered residence. The 38-year-old was taken into custody at the police headquarters and is set to be presented to an investigating judge. Police are investigating the incident on suspicion of arson.
