Two suspects accused of setting fire to Starlink facilities near the village of Plana close to Sofia are expected to be handed over to Bulgarian authorities, Interior Minister Ivan Demerdzhiev said, citing the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA). Demerdzhiev said the suspects were identified immediately after the arson attack. Both are German nationals who entered Bulgaria shortly before the fire and left the country immediately afterwards. Bulgarian authorities reviewed the men’s past activities and shared information with their German counterparts. The two have previous criminal records, but those cases relate to robberies and road traffic accidents. Authorities have charged the men over the arson attack on Starlink antennas near Sofia, and the handover to Bulgarian authorities is expected as the process moves forward.
