Świdnica man loses nearly 110,000 zł after fake investment analysts
Police warn about impostor experts and promise of quick, certain profits.
A 67-year-old man from Świdnica lost nearly 110,000 zł after trusting a fake investment offer promising quick and certain gains.
The scheme relied on a professional-looking investment platform, plus regular contact with people posing as financial experts. Instead of expected profits, the victim faced further demands for payments, along with problems getting his money back.
Police say the man eventually suffered a massive financial loss of close to 110,000 zł. The case is prompting an appeal for caution before handing over money to anyone offering investment services.
Świdnica police are urging residents to check who they are dealing with before investing and to stay alert to offers that appear credible but turn out to be fraudulent.
