Police arrested a 78-year-old man in Chalandri over alleged thefts from parked vehicles along Kifisias, with a case file opened for repeated burglary and weapons law violations. From the end of last August, the suspect is accused of approaching parked cars mainly in the afternoon and evening hours. He allegedly took valuables and cash from uninsured vehicles or broke vehicle windows to get inside, targeting streets in the Lower Chalandri area. Following the investigation, officers carried out a search at the man’s home. They seized 2 pistols, including one with a cartridge in the chamber, a hunting shotgun, a pistol-replica revolver, and 100 pistol rounds. Police also found and confiscated three computers. The case was handled by the Chalandri Crime Investigation and Clearance Unit, which formed the case file for the alleged offences.
