Police jail 38-year-old suspected of abusing his mother in Kamienna Góra
Court ordered three months’ temporary detention after he allegedly violated a restraining order.
Kamiennogórscy police detained a 38-year-old man suspected of abusing his mother, breaking a court order to stay away from her, and violating domestic peace.
Police said that despite protection measures put in place for the victim, the man returned to her vicinity. Prosecutors and the police filed a motion to secure his detention.
The court ordered the man’s temporary arrest for three months. During the case, authorities focused on the alleged repeat behaviour after a restraining order had already been applied.
Domestic violence is treated as a crime, not a private family matter. Police said responding quickly can help stop violence and protect the victim.
The man is in custody under the court’s temporary arrest decision, while the investigation continues.
