Police arrested a 39-year-old man in Thessaloniki for suspected illegal transfer of migrants, after finding three people in his car without travel documents. The arrest happened on the Egnatia Odos near the tolls at Asprovalta, as the man was driving an I.X. car towards Thessaloniki. Officers say he tried to avoid a police check by speeding up, but the vehicle was brought to a stop and he was arrested despite his resistance. Inside the car, police found three foreign nationals, including two minors. All three were missing the necessary travel documents for lawful stay in Greece, officers said. The case was handled by the Migration Management Department of the Aliens Division in Thessaloniki, with the man taken into custody following the stop and arrest.
