Police arrested three people after an incident that started when a car tried to avoid a police check in Evosmos, Thessaloniki. In the early hours, a passenger car with three foreign nationals onboard increased speed and made dangerous maneuvers to escape the stop. The police eventually immobilized the vehicle and detained the three suspects. The arrested men are aged 27, 28 and 21. Police said the arrests were made for disobedience, violence against officials and judicial persons, dangerous driving, violations of the Aliens Law, and an outstanding arrest warrant. The 27-year-old, according to the police announcement, had no documents for legal residence in Greece. Investigators also found that a pending arrest warrant for robbery had been issued against him. The detention followed the suspects’ resistance when police officers moved to stop the car. The three are currently under investigation following the arrests.
