Police arrest three in Athens drug bust, including two minors
A 21-year-old is accused of distributing cocaine and cannabis, with drugs concealed in delivery packaging and a key-like device.
Greek police arrested three suspects, including two minors, in western Athens, seizing cocaine, cannabis, cash and concealed drug containers.
Officers from the Attica General Police Directorate’s Drug Immediate Response Unit carried out operations in Petroupoli and Peristeri on 29 October, acting after information about alleged drug-trafficking activity.
Investigators said the three suspects stored quantities of cocaine and cannabis at their homes. The 21-year-old allegedly distributed the drugs, including to minors, and used a motorcycle to transport them. Police seized the vehicle during the operation.
Officers found drugs hidden inside a box belonging to a delivery company, with the packaging allegedly used to conceal the substances. Police also seized a specially modified object resembling a vehicle key, which allegedly had a hidden compartment for drugs.
The suspects were charged, depending on their alleged involvement, with offences involving controlled substances and weapons, as well as violence against public officials.
The three suspects appeared before the competent prosecutor, and the Drug Immediate Response Unit carried out the preliminary investigation.
