Three people have been detained over a shooting in Pulianas, Granada, in which a 17-year-old girl was seriously injured. Granada police said the incident happened at 23:20 on 12 October. Officers responding to an emergency call from 112 arrived at a home where they saw a 28-year-old man holding a gun. The girl’s parents told them he had allegedly fired at their daughter. Officers ordered him to drop the weapon. He was holding a pistol Glock in both hands, and police drew their service firearms before managing to detain him. Investigators allege three people had entered the home beforehand. The girl’s parents said two of them attacked the couple, while the main suspect threatened the 17-year-old and her mother with a pistol. During the incident, he allegedly fired two shots. One bullet hit the girl in the shoulder, while the other struck a house in the area. Police also allege the gun jammed when he tried to shoot at the parents. The girl was taken to hospital in Granada, with injuries described as serious. During the scene inspection, officers found a knife and forensic evidence linked to firearms use, including cartridge cases, a 9mm Parabellum cartridge and two projectiles, all of which were seized for the investigation. The Civil Guard’s Criminal Investigation Team in Maracena took over the case. The investigation led to the identification of two more suspects, the accused man’s father, 46, and brother, 26, who were arrested on 19 October after inquiries into those who left the scene. The 28-year-old was brought before a judge on 15 October, and was placed in provisional prison. The father and brother were brought before the courts and were released with charges. The investigation continues to determine each person’s role.
