Three men were arrested after reports of a racially aggravated incident in Leeds city centre, police said. Officers were called at around 12.47am on Sunday after a report that three men surrounded an Asian man in Brunswick Terrace and allegedly directed racist language towards him. The caller said the men had been removed from the Stick and Twist pub on Merrion Way shortly before the incident, and that they allegedly performed a Nazi salute. Following enquiries, three men aged 25, 26 and 29 were arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated public order offences and taken into police custody. West Yorkshire Police is now appealing for witnesses who were in the area at the time and asking anyone with relevant footage to come forward.
