A 36-year-old man was arrested in Turin after allegedly attacking a doctor in the emergency room at the Giovanni Bosco hospital.
Police said the man began acting aggressively during a visit at an outpatient clinic, threatening and assaulting the doctor. He was arrested after checks showed he was in an altered physical and psychological condition linked to alcohol abuse.
Officers from the General Prevention and Public Rescue unit carried out the intervention and took him into custody.
He was arrested on suspicion of causing injuries to healthcare and social-health staff. The man is also under investigation for interruption of a public service. Authorities also imposed an administrative sanction for drunkenness.
