Trani police arrested a 50-year-old man after finding 10 kilos of hashish hidden in a rental car. Officers stopped the vehicle after the driver’s behaviour raised suspicion during a routine road check. A search of the car led to the discovery of 10 kilograms of hashish, split into slabs and concealed inside a thermal bag. The seizure triggered further checks, including a search at the man’s home. During the raid at the Trani address, officers from the Trani Police Station and the Mobile Squad from Andria found additional drugs. Investigators also seized packaging material used to prepare the drug, and objects described as valuable but of unjustified origin. Everything recovered was put under seizure. The man was arrested on charges of possession of narcotic substances and receiving stolen goods. He was transferred, on instructions from the Prosecutor’s Office in Trani, to the city’s remand prison.
