A 31-year-old Turkish man wanted for murder by North Macedonia was arrested at the Morina border crossing as he tried to enter Albania, police said. Border and Migration officials in Kukes said Morina Border Police, working with Interpol Tirana, caught the suspect. Verifications showed he was internationally wanted for murder, with a decision issued on October 27, 2026 by the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Skopje. After the arrest, specialists from the Serious Crimes Investigation Section at the Kukes Local Police Directorate carried out the procedures needed for extradition to North Macedonia. Interpol Tirana is continuing the extradition process with its Macedonian counterparts. The man remains in police custody as extradition steps continue.
